The Memorial Church (Protestant Non-denominational University Church)
Founded as a Protestant non-denominational house of worship, The Memorial Church maintains a broad ecumenical program of worship, preaching and teaching. All members of the University, regardless of denomination, are welcome. A Christian service of Morning Prayer is held at 8:45 a.m. Monday through Saturday during Term, with the principal worship service held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. A monthly service of Compline is held on a Thursday evening at 10:00 p.m. Opportunities for Baptism are provided several times during the school year and students are welcome to serve as ushers and church schoolteachers. Opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to meet and consider issues of faith are offered throughout the year. Adult Educational Forums, which discuss subjects that deal with our common faith, life and ministry, are held each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Worship service. For a listing of events and services, contact the Church office at 495-5508.
